The Lawrence Aquahawks Swim Team, located in Lawrence, KS, has an immediate opening for a full-time head coach. The head coach is responsible for all elements of a growing swim program of approximately 175 competitive swimmers. The head coach works with a board of directors and directly manages an age group head coach and several assistant coaches. The head coach has direct responsibility for all swim groups with primary coaching responsibility of the National/ Senior group, along with administrative functions for the entire team.

Future areas of emphasis include athlete recruitment and retention. The primary facility is a beautiful state-of-the-art 10 lanes 50 meter pool, along with a separate 25 meter pool. The Aquahawks Swim Team has swimmers of all levels, including Olympic Trial and National. Lawrence is home to Kansas University and is a growing community with exceptional schools.

Candidates must be a registered coach member of a USA swimming in good standing. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor degree and ASCA Level 3 Certification. Salary will commensurate with experience. Deadline for application is October 9th, 2009.
